Ston is well known for mussels and oysters from Ston bay where the tradition of growing oysters dates in Roman times as well as for the oldest active salt plant on the whole Mediterranean. Another hidden gem of the area is “Old Napoleon road” built in 19 century by the French army, which is unknown to a wider audience.
