Day 1: Arrival day

Today is your arrival day in Zagreb. You will be welcomed a the airport and transferred to your hotel. Upon scheduled time you will meet your guide and discuss upcoming itinerary. Spend a relaxing evening on your own. Transfer time: 30 minutes Meals included: Dinner

Day 2: Hiking Plitvice lakes National Park

Today's activity will be hiking in the most famous Croatian National park – Plitvice Lakes. The lakes of Plitvice are a unique design of nature famous across the globe for its beauty. Since 1979 the Park has been a part of the UNESCO World Heritage register. Plitvice is home to about one-third of all known orchids in Croatia. Plitvice lakes as nature unique place are part of the river that forms beautiful waterfalls, and 16 lakes. We will choose a combination of many walking paths in the park to show you the most attractive views.

Day 3: Hiking Risnjak National Park

National Park Risnjak with the same-named peak of 1528 m above the sea got the name by the word RIS which means LYNX. Layynks in endangered species in Croatia and the is one of the rare places where still habitats. There are at least two options to do the hike, longer or shorter until you reach mountain hut from where you can go to the highest peak. From the top on a clear day, you can see Adriatic sea on one side, Slovenia on another side, and Croatian islands!

Day 4: National park Northern Velebit

Today you will explore the longest mountain in Croatia – Velebit. The whole mountain has been declared as a Nature Park, with two areas holding the even greater status of National parks. During this day we will visit one of the two National parks on the same mountain – Sjeverni Velebit (North Velebit). Another one is National Park Paklenica.Along the National park, Sjeverni Velebit lays one of the most beautiful hiking paths in Croatia – Premužić trail. It was constructed in 1933 and named after its constructor Ante Premužić, a forestry engineer, and a passionate mountaineer and lover of Velebit. While walking on this path you can’t avoid appreciating all the passion and hard work that was implemented in this path. On this enjoyable hike, you will see in the distance inland Croatia on one side and occasionally Adriatic sea on the other side of the path. Did you know: while walking, you will see one of two areas in Croatia with the level protection even higher than in the National park, Strict nature reserve-“Hajdučki and Rožanski kukovi(hips)”.

Day 5: National Park Paklenica

Today you will hike National park Paklenica, also situated on the Velebit mountain as Northern Velebit but on the Southern part. You will hike through its most attractive part – Big Paklenica canyon – one of the most famous locations for rock climbing in Europe. The whole mountain is a Park of nature due to its biodiversity. Velebit belongs to Dinaric Alps, and lately, it’s an unavoidable part of Via Dinarica- a combination of trails that connects the whole Dinaridi area. Since 2017th pristine beech forests of the National park are on UNESCO list of nature sites of the world!

Day 6: National Park Krka

Yet one more of Croatia’s highlights awaits– the National park Krka. Apart from the beautiful scenery, you will also see and learn how people used to live in the old days along the banks of Krka by visiting the restored ethnic-village. Krka is the same name as the river by which National park got the name, and there are 7 beautiful waterfalls on a river flow on a 50 kilometers stretch. You will see the most attractive one Skradinski Buk and Roški slap. Apart from the beautiful waterfalls, the Park is also well known for its multiple endemic species of birds, fish, and amphibians.

Day 7: National Park Mljet

Today you will visit southernmost National Park in Croatia - Mljet, same name as the island. Island Mljet is often called the greenest Croatia island. The western part of the island is a National park and that is the part we are visiting. The national park is known for its lakes inside of the island and little islet in the biggest lake with the monastery from the 12th century on it. We will visit the island with the small boat, and cycle around the lakes surrounded by beautiful green pine forests with possible stops for swimming. For the lunch, we will stop at the local family for the homemade food.

Day 8: Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik- as many will say the Pearl of the Adriatic! Today it's all about Dubrovnik. We suggest a guided tour of the city to learn about its history, legends and local life. Meet your guide at the entrance of the Old town and start to walk through centuries of the rich history of this unique place. You will walk inside the walled city through main and side streets and learn about local stories and legends and what was the importance of once the great Dubrovnik Republic. You will pass by highlights as the Onorfious fountain, Rectors place, Old port and more! We suggest walking the city walls, the second biggest in the world. At places, the wall is approximately 75 ft high, which makes it a great sightseeing point to take photos of beautiful scenery. Another place to visit is Srđ hill and fortress Imperial where you can visit a photo video exhibition about the war in 1991. Short cable car ride will take to the Srđ hill, where you take photos of Dubrovnik and area like on your palm.

Day 9: Departure
